Séan Neeson MLA stated: “These figures are deeply worrying. Last night we heard about potential job losses in Carrickfergus and it seems like bad news on the employment front now comes on a daily basis.
“This is an extremely difficult economic time for not Northern Ireland, but the wider world.
“I hope the Stormont Executive’s financial package helps turn things round but I am not confident their measures are strong enough. Too many of their plans are short-term and do little to re-balance the economy.”
