Councillor Andrew Muir said: “As street lights have gone out, the failure of the Department of Regional Development to replace them have left Bangor’s roads in darkness.
“As the dark winter mornings and nights set in, this lack of action from the department has left motorists, pedestrians – including school children – and runners at serious risk of injury or even worse.
“Across Bangor some areas have been plunged into a lot of darkness and I would urge the DUP DRD Minister to take action as soon as possible – before we are faced with a serious tragedy.”
