Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “Everybody has been deeply shocked by the claims that have been made about the sexual exploitation of young people in our care system.
“While the Police are continuing their criminal investigations, the Health Minister must ensure that any failings in our care system are corrected.
“The Minister’s suggestion of carrying out a review and potentially bringing in an external expert, should be welcomed by all. I hope that any investigation will result in a thorough review to prevent this from happening again.”
