Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “We need to see the Health Minister stepping up to the mark and giving children, parents and staff positive news about the I Can centre. The amount of funding required to safeguard this centre is very small given the size of the Health Minister’s budget.
“This is a vitally important facility for the community. It ensures children can stay in the local area for schooling and is of massive assistance to children and families. Devolution is all about delivery and listening to the concerns of people here, and I hope Michael McGimpsey delivers the decision that those who use this service want to hear.
“People want reassurances on the future of this vital resource. It’s time the Health Minister provided reassurances to those who use this service.”
