McCarthy outraged at bomb attack in South Armagh

Alliance Chief Whip Kieran McCarthy MLA has slammed those behind a bomb on a bridge between Belleek and Cullyhanna in South Armagh that exploded on Saturday at 17:00. The bomb did not cause any injuries.

Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “I am shocked and outraged at these people who are trying to destabilise our society. I strongly condemn this attack.

“The people behind this bomb are carrying out an attack against Northern Ireland. They are offering nothing but death and destruction.

“I would urge anybody with any information about this bomb to contact the police. These people must be stopped and taken off our streets to face justice in the courts.”
