Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “These were despicable events. It is appalling that a PSNI officer was injured after being hit by a stone during the violence. My thoughts are with the officer and I wish them a speedy recovery.
“It is deeply troubling that two men were in the house at the time of the shooting and this must have been a very traumatic event. Those involved in these events must be brought to justice and I appeal to anyone with information to contact police immediately.”
