Lyttle and Cochrane and new MBE celebrate no smoking day with British Lung Foundation

The British Lung Foundation (BLF) will celebrate No Smoking Day on Wednesday 14th March with local politicians and newly appointed MBE, Anne Marie Marley.

The BLF is offering free lung function tests and information to shoppers in Connswater Shopping Centre, Belfast, from 10am-4pm, as part of the first ever ‘Love Your Lungs’ campaign in Northern Ireland.

Over 31,000 people inNorthern Irelandare diagnosed with COPD. It is thought that many more suffer from the condition without knowing it. The ‘Love Your Lungs’ campaign aims to find those who need help and provide the relevant referrals.

The event is supported by local respiratory nurse consultant, Anne Marie Marley, who was recently awarded an MBE for her services to respiratory health inNorthern Ireland. She said: “I’m really looking forward to attending the ‘Love Your Lungs’ event on No Smoking Day.
