“The Re-imaging Newtownards Road Project has been very positive for the whole community in both Short Strand and the Newtownards Road and has demonstrated that there is a real will to move away from the past and to maximise the potential of the area. We have seen a number of exciting and forward-thinking changes and I am confident they herald a new era of hope, peace and prosperity for the whole community.
“It’s extremely important to encourage change towards building a shared future across our society and this project has helped lead the way in doing this. Developments like this could also help boost tourism in the area and they send out a strong message that this is a confident community moving forward to a better future.”
