The hijacking happened on the Maryville road on Tuesday morning. The driver was bundled into the van and was let out on the Andersonstown Road before the two men drove off. Anna herself was the victim of an attempted car hijacking earlier this year.
Anna Lo MLA said: “I was very shocked by this hijacking. This must have been a traumatic experience for the driver. I hope he is able to get over such a horrific incident.
“After having been the victim of an attempted car hijacking, I can empathise with him at this difficult time.
“I would urge anybody with any information about this hijacking to contact the police.”
