Lo says better strategy needed to stop racist attacks

South Belfast Alliance MLA Anna Lo has commented following news that people have taken refuge in a church as they feel unsafe in their homes following racist attacks.

Anna Lo MLA said: “It is appalling that people feel they are not safe in their own homes.

“The goodwill of those who have provided shelter and support must overshadow the actions of a small number of racist thugs.

“There needs to be a stronger strategy put in place to protect people from hate crimes. Lessons must be learned from the sad events of the past few days.”
