Lo condemns South Belfast car hijacking

Alliance South Belfast MLA Anna Lo has condemned a car hijacking that took place on Windsor Avenue in Belfast in the early hours of Friday morning. Two men, one armed with a knife threatened the driver of a Volkswagon Golf and forced him to hand over the keys.

Anna was the victim of an attempted car hijacking last year.

Anna Lo MLA said: “I am shocked that the driver of this car had his life threatened with a knife.

“Being the victim of a similar crime, I know how traumatic this incident must have been for this driver. I hope he is able to get over such a horrific event.

“If anybody has any information about this car hijacking then I would urge them to contact the police.”
