Lo – armed stand off has shocked the community

Alliance South Belfast MLA Anna Lo has reacted to the news that there is an armed stand off on the Powerscourt Place, off the Ormeau Road in South Belfast. It is believed that two men are inside the house and have fired pellets at cars and police officers

Anna Lo MLA said: “I hope this stand off finishes as quickly and as peacefully as possible.

“This incident has shocked the community greatly. It is deeply worrying that there is an armed stand off in such a residential area.

“The police should not feel under threat. This type of incident should be condemned by all.”
