Cllr Neil Kelly said: “Local people are sick of the disruption caused by these security alerts. They want to be able to get on with their daily lives. The local population are very anxious that this is the fourth security alert in the area, it is a very worrying development. I am only glad that no one was injured in this latest incident.
“I am disgusted that yet again a small minority of people are intent on causing hurt and disruption to the local community. These people have no support and have no aims. I would urge them to stop their reckless actions.
“If anybody has any information about these devices then they should contact the police. This campaign must be stopped before somebody is hurt or worse.”
