The Castlereagh representative was speaking after police revealed two men and two women had been tied up and assaulted during the attack on the Ballynahinch Road.
Councillor Vasundhara Kamble said: “It is extremely worrying to hear of such a nasty attack taking place in the local area and I must condemn those who orchestrated it.
“Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home and this brutal attack should never have compromised this. My thoughts are with the victims at this time.
“Those behind this incident do not represent the entire community, who don’t want to see this type of activity on their doorsteps.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible, so that the perpetrators can be removed from our streets as soon as possible.”
