Cllr Maire Hendron said: “I would like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of the two victims. My thoughts are with them at what must be a difficult and painful time.
“The person responsible must be a very callous and cold-blooded individual to have taken the lives of two people. I cannot begin to comprehend what went through the mind of this person when they carried out this crime.
“If anybody has any information about the murder of this man and woman, then I would urge them to contact the Police.”
