Cllr Maire Hendron said: “I would like to praise all those police officers who were involved in this operation. There is now one less gun on our streets today. The community does not want these weapons on our streets and is thankful for the actions of the Police.
“We must all show our support for the Police and the rule of law by passing on information that can lead to more weapons being taken off our streets.
