Hendron condemns baseball bat attack in East Belfast

Alliance Belfast Councillor Maire Hendron has condemned the baseball attack on a man in Tower Street, East Belfast on Friday afternoon. The 48 year old male victim suffered injuries to his face and legs, the man who attacked him wore a scarf over his face.

Cllr Maire Hendron said: “I am shocked that somebody would carry out such a vicious assault in broad daylight in a busy street. The person behind this attack is a callous individual with no regards for the well being of others.

“I hope the victim will be able to make a swift recovery from what appears to be very serious injuries.

“If anybody has any information about this assault then I would urge them to contact the police.”
