Stewart Dickson MLA said: “The discovery of this bomb comes just two weeks after a similar device was used to target a Police Landrover. It is extremely worrying that there are still people in our society who would seek to bring death, injury and disruption to our streets.
“We should be thankful that this device was discovered before it could be detonated. I would like to commend the Police and Army officers who put their lives at risk to deal with this bomb.
“If anybody has any information about this bomb then I would urge them to contact the Police.”
