Derry rioting serves no purpose except disrupt the community

Alliance Party Justice spokesperson, Stewart Dickson MLA, has condemned those behind rioting in Derry / Londonderry.

Stewart Dickson said: “Once again we see violence on the streets and police officers attacked. There can be no excuse or justification for attacks on the police who were responding to reports of a suspicious object being found in the Creggan area.

“Local residents have had to leave their homes and great inconvenience caused. The police have a difficult job to do protecting the community and it is important this senseless violence is condemned by all.”
