ALLIANCE Education Spokesperson Eileen Bell has condemned the actions of those who taped a suspicious object to the gates of Dungannon Integrated College on Wednesday.
Mrs Bell said: “Once again, cowardly thugs target the most vulnerable in society. Those who left this device have caused disruption in the lives of the children at the school, and the fact that it was a hoax will do little to alleviate the concern felt by parents.
“This disturbing trend of targeting schools and children – no matter what type of school it is – must end now, before someone is hurt or worse. Children who have done nothing to provoke these incidents do not deserve to be subjected to this violent interference with their education. I would call on everyone to do what they can to ensure that these attacks are brought to a swift end.”
