Chris Lyttle selected to replace Naomi Long as MLA for East Belfast

Chris Lyttle has been selected to replace Naomi Long MP as Assembly Member for East Belfast. Mr Lyttle was born and raised in East Belfast and educated at Queen’s University Belfast and Harvard University. His experience includes working as East Belfast Constituency & Research Assistant to Naomi Long. Mr Lyttle, selected by the East Belfast Alliance Party Association, is 29 and is married with children.

Mr Lyttle said: “It is a great honour for me to have been selected to serve the people of East Belfast in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The Alliance Party has a great heritage of service and I am looking forward to representing the constituency as part of a strong Alliance team at Stormont.

“Naomi Long has been an exceptional Assembly Member, and the high regard that the people of East Belfast hold her in was demonstrated when they chose her to represent the area as MP.

Naomi Long MP said: “I am delighted that Chris has been selected as Alliance Party MLA for East Belfast. His selection reflects his talent and ability, and he has a strong record of hard work for residents throughout this constituency.
