A group calling itself the Black Friday Brigade has issued threats to prominent business in Northern Ireland threatening these businesses against collaboration with companies from the Republic of Ireland.
Belfast Alliance Councillor Tom Campbell condemned those carrying out these threats and said:
“This group who have issued threats against business have no democratic legitimacy. This sort of terrorist activity threatens jobs and livelihoods and has no support from the vast majority of decent people living here. I would urge anyone with information about the individuals concerned with these threats to contact the police. The Good Friday Agreement should have put much of this blatant sectarianism behind us. But these threats reemphasise the need for compromise and constructive dialogue.”
