South Belfast Alliance MLA Paula Bradshaw has urged everyone to enjoy St Patrick’s Day in a respectful way.

Speaking ahead of the annual celebration, Paula said it was important lessons from previous years had been learnt.

She added: “After two long years of very little to look forward to, I’m sure everyone is really excited about the annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations – and whatever you are doing I hope you enjoy it.

“But while for many it has been a disappointing few years, for some residents in the Holyland COVID will have brought a welcome break to the annual disruption that occurs.

“I would urge everyone to be respectful, to think of their neighbours and to remain committed to no breaching the rule of law.

“Together we can work to ensure everyone has the best day possible.”
