Councillor Yvonne Boyle said: “I completely condemn this attack on Councillor Duddy’s home. It is completely unacceptable and those responsible must be held accountable.
“Everyone is entitled to feel safe in their own home, without coming under attack for their political views and beliefs. I understand that the homes of other Orangemen have been attacked in recent weeks and this cannot be allowed to continue.
“Northern Ireland will never move forward if we continue to rely on the tribal divisions of the past. Those who engage in hate-filled actions are not only aiming to drive a wedge between communities, but also to heighten tensions in the area.
“We must only respond through dialogue, ensuring they are not successful in their plans. Dialogue is better than provocative actions as we seek to build a truly shared future for everyone.”
