Arson attacks show how far some people still have to come

Alliance Party Chair Yvonne Boyle has said ongoing arson attacks prove that some people still have some way to go to understand that dialogue and negotiation are the only way to make progress.

After another attack, this time on a B&Q outlet in the Riverside Retail Park less than a mile from her home, the party’s Coleraine representative stated: “I understand that significant damage has been caused to the store, which is used by many people throughout the shopping week.

“Far from just the costs and inconvenience involved, this series of attacks just shows how far some people still have to come.

“In the 21st century it is time everyone realized that arson attacks are no substitute for dialogue and negotiation.”
