Speaking after the decision was announced, Glenn said he was “delighted” to be taking the Alliance Party’s vision of a shared, inclusive society to the voters in the run up to May.
He added: “The Alliance Party has a lot to offer local people and I’m passionate about the kind of open and transparent politics we will deliver with a strong Alliance team on Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
“As a local man, I know the potential our area has – and what we need to do to deliver the best society for local people to live, work and play. I’m focused on supporting the many fantastic voluntary organisations that work tirelessly in our community and maximising the potential that the new A6 dualling works offers to businesses and amenities in the area.
“I’m ready and willing to increase the Alliance representation across our area.”
