Alliance Party representative on the Assembly Bill of Rights Committee, Paula Bradshaw, has called on people across Northern Ireland to respond to the Bill of Rights survey launched by the Committee today.
The South Belfast MLA stated: “It is important that as many people as possible take the time to feed into this survey. We want to hear from people from all sections of society, because if a Bill of Rights is adopted for Northern Ireland it must be applicable, accessible and relevant to everyone.
“Human Rights are there to protect and provide safe-guards and any Bill of Rights would provide a valuable basis underpinning all aspects of what the Northern Ireland Assembly does, the policies it scrutinises, and the laws it passes.
“For ease of access, I have posted it to my Twitter and MLA Facebook pages and will be available from the Assembly’s website. I would urge others to do likewise to maximise the breadth of responses received.”
