ALLIANCE Councillor Michael Long has condemned the recent violence in east Belfast .
A woman was intimidated from her home when masked men smashed up her Roslyn Street home on Wednesday night, and shots were fired at a house in the Braniel on Thursday morning.
Cllr Long said: “I completely condemn both of these attacks. East Belfast has suffered enough violence in recent weeks, and incidents like this only increase tension. I would call upon anyone who has can assist the police catch those behind either of these attacks to do so.”
Meanwhile, speaking after the murder of a man outside Oakwood Integrated Primary School, Derriaghy, yesterday, Assembly member for the area, Councillor Seamus Close, said:
“I am absolutely disgusted at this latest murder in Lagan Valley. There have now been three in a matter of months, which is totally unacceptable in any society. Today’s murder, at an integrated school, is sickening beyond words, and every effort must be made to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.”
