Anna Lo MLA said: “This is a very important time for people who are about to receive their results. It’s a defining period in their lives and they should make use of the services available to them in terms of advice so that they can make the best decision for them.
“This can be a challenging and worrying time for people who receive their results and it’s useful for them to be able to discuss their options with someone who has expertise in careers. I would strongly encourage anyone who feels they need to talk to someone about their next step on the career path to use the Department for Employment and Learning’s Careers Service Northern Ireland. This is a particularly difficult time given the current economic climate and job market, and this service is very important as it’s often very hard for people to decide what is the right move for them in terms of education and training.
