Alliance East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson has said he is appalled at an arson attack at the home of a serving police officer in his constituency.

Three cars were destroyed at the property on the Glenarm Road in Larne. The officer and his family were at home at the time but were unharmed.

“I am appalled at this shocking incident and I’m thankful the officer and his family escaped any injury,” said East Antrim MLA Mr Dickson.

“Police are there to protect us all, they work on behalf of everyone and it is vital everyone shows them their full support. This who carried this out need to realise their violence achieves nothing.

“If anyone has any information on this attack, I urge them to contact the police with it immediately.”
