East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson has condemned all those behind a suspected petrol bomb attack in the Carrickfergus area.

Police are investigating motives for the attack on a home in Schomberg Court, where a woman and boy escaped injury.

The Alliance representative said: “This attack on a woman and a boy is completely unacceptable and must be condemned by all.

“We must be thankful we aren’t looking at a much worse situation today and my thoughts are with the woman a boy who were in the house at the time.

“I would urge anyone with information to come forward immediately so we can rid our streets of those who perpetrate these kinds of violent acts on our community.”
