Alliance Strangford MLA Kellie Armstrong has called for support for the police following a shooting in Comber.

Kellie Armstrong said: “I condemn without reservation whoever was behind this shooting in Comber. The police are treating this attack as attempted murder and it is vital those responsible are taken off the streets as soon as possible. I would urge anyone with information about this attack to pass it to the police or anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

“I offer my best wishes to the injured man and hope he makes a full recovery.”
