Alliance Councillor Danny Donnelly has said it is disturbing to hear paramilitaries may have been involved in the murder of a man in Carrickfergus.
The body of Glen Quinn was found at his home in the Ashleigh Park area of Woodburn on Saturday (January 4). It is believed the South East Antrim UDA may have been involved in the killing.
“My thoughts are with the loved ones of the victim,” said Councillor Donnelly.
“It is particularly disturbing to hear paramilitaries may have been involved in this incident. We are nearly 22 years after the Good Friday Agreement, paramilitaries should no longer even exist, never mind be involved in murders.
“I appeal to anyone who has information on this to take it to police immediately.”
