Alliance Education spokesperson Chris Lyttle MLA has congratulated A-Level pupils across Northern Ireland on their hard work and endeavour as they receive their results.
Around 30,000 students received their A-Level and AS-Level results today, with more boys than girls achieving the top A* grade for the first time. The percentage of entries achieving A* or A grades remained unchanged from last year at 30.4 per cent.
“I want to congratulate the thousands of pupils who have received their marks after all their hard work. I hope many young people received the results they have been working towards” said Mr Lyttle.
“There may also be some pupils who need more time and help to make informed decisions about the next step which is best for them on their educational and career pathway. I would encourage those students to make full use of the independent careers services available to them at nidirect.gov.uk/results.
“I also want to recognise and congratulate the teachers who have dedicated their time and expertise to help all our young people develop their unique personality and talent to their maximum potential.”
