Paint was thrown over the windows and wall of Crewe Orange Hall on Crewe Road in Upper Ballinderry last night (Saturday). Police are treating the incident as a hate crime. It was the eighth attack on an Orange hall this year.
“This was simply mindless vandalism that deserves the strongest condemnation,” said Lagan Valley MLA Mr Lunn.
“It is an example of a complete lack of tolerance for the tradition and culture of others. The attack is on everyone in the local community and follows similar attacks on memorials across Belfast.
“We need to move away from these senseless attacks and show respect if we are to truly create a shared society.
“I would urge anyone with information on this incident to contact police immediately.”
