Chris Lyttle MLA said: “This strategy will play a key part as the Minister looks to radically improve the skills landscape in Northern Ireland. Apprenticeships are vital as we look to improve our economic prosperity and give confidence to businesses that the skills they require exist in Northern Ireland.
“It is further evidence of Alliance delivery in Government. Minister Farry has made the improvement of our skills base a key priority for his Department and this strategy is proof of the work that he has achieved in office.
“The Minister has set an ambitious target of making apprenticeships in Northern Ireland the gold standard. I look forward to working with him at the Employment and Learning Committee to ensure our apprenticeships and skills are of the highest possible level.”
