Anna Lo MLA said: “I would like to congratulate all those who took part in today’s event, whether they ran, jogged or walked the route. It is a great way to stay active, while raising money for worthwhile causes.
“Today’s runners are showing that they are aiming high for international development around the world and I am proud to have supported all the participants. It is important that we raise awareness of the many issues affecting people in developing countries, whether it is poverty, hunger or sanitation.
“This is the third year that I have been involved in the One World Run. It is great to see the event grow in popularity each year and I look forward to another successful race in 2015.”
