Alliance Antrim representatives Cllr Neil Kelly and Sian O’Neill have welcomed the announcement that Wrightbus will be creating 130 jobs at their Antrim factory. The firm will be investing £14million, including £10million for research and development.
Cllr NeilKelly said: “This is fantastic news that 130 new jobs will be created at Wrightbus’ factory in Antrim. Wrightbus is one of Northern Ireland’s leading companies and it is good to see them doing so well.
“Following a difficult few years after the global economic downturn, we are seeing a number of positive signs for our economy.”
Sian O’Neill said: “It is great to see so much money being invested in the local area. It will be a real boost to the Antrim and wider Northern Ireland economy.
“I hope that we will see further positive jobs announcements for the area over the coming months.”
