Trevor Lunn MLA said: “Lives have been put at risk by whoever is responsible for these devices. Anybody could have been killed or seriously injured if they had exploded.
“There can be no justification for attempting to bring violence onto our streets
“I would like to praise the actions of the police and army officers who have dealt with this security alert. I am appalled that there are those who are attempting to kill these police officers who are there to protect the local community.
“If anybody has any information about these devices then I would urge them to contact the police.”
