Mr Dickson said: “Knowing the northern end of my Constituency as I do, one cannot but be struck about the remoteness and accessibility issues of the area for large vehicles, particularly those of the Fire Engine type.
“I back community concerns and fully appreciate how exposed it will be to the dangers of fire if this facility is withdrawn. I again call on the Minister to give serious thought to reversing any plans to close the Cushendall Fire Station and will be pressing him further to ensure that he does.
“Cushendall residents deserve better and their concerns must be addressed in this crucial safety related issue”.
