The crash took place on Monday morning on the Ballymena Road, close to Doagh Village centre.
Councillor Pat McCudden said: “My thoughts are with all those involved in this devastating crash. It is a tragedy that will be felt by the entire community.
“This stretch of road has a long history of shocking accidents and this latest accident highlights the dangers of our roads and underlines the importance of road safety. I would urge all those on the road to be aware of other road users.
“I would call for any witnesses to the crash to come forward and help the PSNI piece together the sequence of events which led up to this terrible accident. On behalf of the Alliance Party I would like to express my deep condolences to the families of the deceased and injured at this difficult time.”
