Hendron offers condolences following house fire death

Alliance Belfast Cllr Maire Hendron has offered his condolences following the death of a woman in a house fire on Saturday in Castlereagh Place.

Cllr Maire Hendron
said: “This is a tragic death. I would like to offer my sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of this woman. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.

“This is the second house fire death in East Belfast recently so I would urge people to ensure that all fire alarms are in working order and that people know what to do in the event of a fire. Every house should also have an evacuation plan so that people can get out of the house quickly if a fire does break out.”
