Frazer shocked at burglary of pensioner in Newtownabbey

Alliance Newtownabbey Councillor Lynn Frazer has expressed her shock at the burglary of pensioner’s home in Mossley Crescent on Wednesday night. Two men entered his house and hit him over the legs with metal sticks before making off with a sum of money. The 70 year old man was not seriously injured.

Cllr Lynn Frazer said: “I am shocked and disgusted by this attack on a pensioner in his own home. I hope he is able to get over his ordeal and recover from any injuries he sustained.

“Everybody expects to be safe in their own home but this attack shows that there are still those on our streets who prey on the vulnerable.

“I would urge anybody with any information about this burglary to contact the police. These two men obviously have no respect for others and they should be punished by the courts for their actions.”
