Bangor Alliance Ballyholme representative Christine Bower has reacted with shock at the assault of a woman in her 50s in the Ashbury area of Bangor.
Christine Bower said: “The reports sound like this woman received shocking injuries as a result of this assault and my thoughts are with her and her family. I hope she is able to make a swift recovery from her injuries.
“I believe that the PSNI have arrested someone in relation to this. I appeal to anyone with further information to provide this to the police to help them with their enquiries.”
