Webb disgusted at paramilitary style shooting in North Belfast

Alliance North Belfast representative Cllr Billy Webb has expressed his disgust at the paramilitary style shooting of two men on Etna Drive in the Ardoyne area on Friday night. The two men in their 20s were shot in their left legs and were later taken to hospital.

Cllr Billy Webb said: “I am disgusted by the perpetrators of this shooting. Attacks like this have no place in our society, it is a relic of the past. This act has achieved nothing except to cause pain and hurt in our community

“I hope these young men are able to make a speedy recover from their injuries. My thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

“I would urge anybody with any information about this shooting to contact the police. These people must be taken off our streets by the police before they carry out another callous attack.”
