Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “The issue of suicide impacts upon many families throughout Northern Ireland. I am very pleased that the Minister has committed to protecting funding for suicide prevention services. This is a very important area of healthcare provision and it must be provided with the resources it needs.
“It is crucial that everything that can be done to address this devastating issue is done. The groups across Northern Ireland that address the issue of suicide do a magnificent job in helping people and it’s very important that they can continue the excellent work they do.”
