Stewart Dickson MLA said: “It is absolutely vital that NI Water has in place a strong and clear communications strategy to ensure that people are kept informed of matters relating to the water supply.
“The lessons of last winter’s crisis have clearly been learned and on our visit today I could see that the organisation is endeavouring to ensure that their communication with the public is improved. I was impressed by the new call handling arrangements that have been put in place.
“It is important that public confidence in our water service is rebuilt after last winter’s crisis.”
