Castlereagh Alliance Councillor Judith Cochrane has expressed annoyance at the decision of Environment Minister Edwin Poots not to hold an independent review into the Knock Golf Course planning application.
Cllr Judith Cochrane said: “I am deeply frustrated at the Minister’s refusal to hold an independent review into this planning application. People want to see this issue being looked into and his decision is a real snub to local residents.
“Knock Golf Course is an important green space for the people of East Belfast and many people feel very strongly that this issue should be examined.
“Openness and transparency is essential to ensure public confidence in politics.”
