Muir condemns Keady bomb alert

Newry and Armagh Alliance Representative Andrew Muir has condemned those behind a bomb alert in Keady which resulted in people living near the scene having to spend the night away from their homes. Six houses were evacuated in the alert in the Castleblayney Road area in Keady.

Andrew Muir said: “Disgraceful actions of this nature will not prevent Northern Ireland from moving forward. What do those involved hope to achieve by causing such disruption? People are determined to create a better society and disruption like this makes people even more determined to do so.

“Anyone who can assist police with their investigation into this should contact them immediately.”
