Fitzpatrick slams thug who left suspicious devices in Portush

Alliance Coleraine Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick has hit out at those who left two suspicious devices in Glendrum Close in Dhu Varren, Portush.

Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick said: “What type of person would seek to leave devices in a residential area where children could have found them?

“These events have echoes of the terrible days of the troubles. These days should be behind Northern Ireland for good. The devices have caused local residents much fear and worry.

“There may be speculation as to the reason why these devices were left there, but we will not know the truth until the police have completed their investigation. I would urge anybody with any information about these suspicious devices to contact the police.”
